About Diny Design

In 1994, when our youngest daughter Helen also went to school, I started Diny Design: a free lance design - and illustration company. During the past years I was mainly busy drawing 3D-decoupage sheets and designing embossing, embroidery- and pricking-stencils and illustrating children's books, if you like to see some of my work, look at www.dinyvandelustgraaf.nl .

Making jewelry has been a hobby for as long as I can remember. From the age of six, I already used wire to make necklaces en bracelets which my father allowed me to sell on his marketstand during the holidays. Throughout the years the beads were replaced by beads of gemstones and the gold- and silverplated copperwire was replaced by Sterling silver and Goldfilled wire. Though making jewelry has been my hobby for all these years, deep in my heart I wanted to make this my work.

In the summer of 2007 I decided to follow my dream and I started this website. My designs are for sale now and because lots of people love to make their own jewelry, I started making tutorials also.

I have lots of ideas, and sometimes I simply cannot fall asleep as designs for new jewelry are going through my head constantly. Great!! There are so many possibilities with wire!
