As long as I can remember I feel the need to make something beautiful. It is simply what I love doing most of all. In the course of the years I have been working with many different materials and I have tried a lot of techniques. At last I have found peace by making jewelry.

My style is tough yet feminine. I like it to be able to see how simply the jewelry was made. I do not solder, nor do I use glue, everything is held together by wire. There are a lot of curls and spirals in my work. I love round and smooth lines that easily flow together.

Nature is a big source of inspiration for me. The stones I use often show me a faint picture of the piece of jewelry of which they would like to be a part of and while I am working on a piece, new designs are going through my head constantly.

I am married to Dick and we have two fantastic daughters, Lianne and Heleen. Furthermore I teach yoga for a few hours a week and I am interested in everything reIated to the growing of our consciousness and the meaning of life.
